European company Airbus and Canadian Bombardier will jointly implement the project to produce CSeries aircraft, with Airbus acquiring the majority of shares in the enterprise.
“Airbus will acquire a 50.01% stake in CSeries Aircraft Limited Partnership (CSALP), while the Bombardier and Investissement Quebec will own approximately 31% and 19% respectively”, says the statement of the aircraft manufacturers.
According to official data, 6,000 new aircraft are expected to be provided within the next 20 years. The headquarters of CSALP and the main production will remain in Quebec.

CSeries, with its progressive design and excellent economic characteristics, perfectly suits our family of narrow-body aircraft and rapidly expands our services in a rapidly growing market.I have no doubt that our partnership with Bombardier will dramatically increase the sales and value of this program”, said the CEO of Airbus, Tom Enders.
President and CEO Bombardier Alain Bellemare also called the European company an “ideal partner”.
