The UAE airline flydubai started regulars flights from the Russian international airport Sheremetyevo to Dubai. The airline was the first representative of the United Arab Emirates at the airport. The flights will be operated daily (arrival 05:25 Moscow time, 06:25 Moscow time) from Terminal E of Sheremetyevo Airport. On the line will be deployed medium-range Boeing 737 Next Generation aircraft with a capacity of up to 189 seats. The journey time will be just over 5 hours.
The passenger traffic on the Moscow-Dubai route shows steady growth over the last three years. Since the beginning of the year, the airport has served about 160,000 people, which is 26% more than in the same period of 2009. It is projected that by the end of the year the passenger traffic will exceed 200,000 people. On January 1, 2018, flydubai will launch the newest Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft on its flights. The aircraft was recently presented at the Dubai Airshow and by the end of the year the airline fleet will replenish 6 models.
