The low-cost airline Eurowings will offer business class on some long-haul flights. The company released that since Summer 2018 in the cabins of high comfort there will be an increased space for the legs, which are laid out in the bed of the chair and wider than usual. Also the business class will have an option for entertainment system on board.
For the first time the carrier plans to show its innovation to the general public at the ITB Berlin exhibition in March 2018. According to the executive director of Eurowings Oliver Wagner, the business class will be in demand on routes from Europe to the US.
“We see strong demand for another top product from our company on routes with a higher proportion of business travel, for example on US flights from Dusseldorf to New York, Miami or Fort Myers. We’ll be entering the Bizclass race with our usual budget-priced Eurowings tickets”, said Oliver Wagner.
The airline says it will announce sale dates for the new seats in due course.
In 2015 another low-cost airline, JetBlue, already introduced business class on their flights.
