Malaysia Airlines Airbus A350-900Malaysia Airlines received its first Airbus A350-900, becoming the 17th airline that will operate this type of aircraft. The advanced technology jet is offering inflight Internet to passengers from the four first class suites through to the last row of economy class. Also the aircraft provides high comfort and really great experience for the passengers.

“The aircraft was handed over to the carrier by the leasing company Air Lease Corporation (ALC) at a special ceremony at Kuala Lumpur Airport. This is the first of 29 A350-900 airliners ordered by ALC for its customers. Malaysia Airlines will receive 6 aircraft A350-900 from ALC”, said Malaysia Airlines in official statement.

Initially, Malaysia Airlines will operate these aircraft on flights in Asia. From the first quarter of 2018, the A350 will fly on long flights from Kuala Lumpur to London. The aircraft is equipped with a three-class passenger cabin with a total of 256 seats (4 in the first class, 35 in the business class and 247 in the economy class).

“We have worked closely with Malaysia Airlines Berhad on this six-aircraft transaction as they roll out a major widebody fleet upgrade”, Air Lease Corporation’s executive vice-president and managing director for Asia, Jie Chen. “We are confident that these six A350 XWB aircraft leased to MAB will benefit their global business operations”, added Jie Chen.

Malaysia Airlines will be taking delivery of six Airbus A350s from December 2017 through to July 2018, and fly them to London from January 2018 (in place of its Airbus A380s) and potentially one other European destination.
