Vladivostok International Airport severed more than 1.4 million passengers since the beginning of the year, which represents an increase of 17% yoy.
The services of Vladivostok International Airport for the period January-August 2017 were used by 1,427,000 people, which is 17% more than in the same period in 2016. Of these, 919,000 people were served on domestic routes (+9%) and 508,000 people were served on international flights (+37%),. Over 21,000 people were serviced on in-terrain routes, which is 44% higher than the 8 months of 2016. For period January-August 2017 at Vladivostok airport were performed 13,839 takeoff and landing operations (+23%) and 32 000 tons of cargo were handled (+13%)”, said the statement of the airport.
“More than 253,000 passengers were serviced at Vladivostok Airport in August this year, which is 16% higher than last year. The international passenger flow is growing at the fastest pace: over 88,000 people were serviced per month, which is 30% higher than in August of the previous year. The increase in passenger traffic in the Japanese direction was 97%, on flights to Southeast Asia – 64%, in the South Korean direction – 41%”, adds the airport.
The largest contribution to the increase in passenger traffic on international flights in August was provided by flights from Vladivostok to Harbin, Sanya, Shenyang, Changchun (China), Tokyo, Osaka (Japan), Seoul, Busan (Republic of Korea), Phuket, Utapao (Thailand), Cam Ranh (Vietnam). The highest dynamics of growth was observed on flights to Phuket (passenger traffic almost doubled), Cam Ranh (+83%) and Tokyo (+62%).
On domestic routes in August, passenger traffic grew by 10% compared to the same period in 2016 and amounted to more than 164,000 people. Leaders in the dynamics of growth in passenger traffic on domestic routes have become the following areas: Ulan-Ude – more than 1.5 times growth, Khabarovsk and Blagoveshchensk – almost 1.5 times.
